Gilead awards SRI scholarships primarily in our therapeutic specialties and based on the scientific value of the application. Research must be aimed at bringing knowledge to the medical community. The budget must be adequate and appropriate for the proposed work. When reviewing applications for assistance, Gilead will also consider the expertise of the proposed lead reviewer and all sub-auditors, including their experience in the relevant therapeutic area, proven ability to conduct clinical trials, and available resources. Gilead Sciences actively supports third-party research efforts on products marketed by Gilead or in therapeutic areas of interest to the company. This research can provide valuable insights into the safety, efficacy, pharmacology, and compatibility of Gilead`s products and complement the comprehensive data generated in registration studies. Gilead supports research either through the Grant Program or the Proposal Research Program (RFP), which focuses on specific populations and themes. If you are interested in asking for help with your research, you will find further instructions below. To submit a research proposal to Gilead, please click below to navigate to our new online PorTal for SRI Collaborative Studies, Gilead OPTICS. Your proposal is reviewed by one or more multi-function committees, which meet regularly to review SRI proposals. Gilead may make proposals to enhance the scientific value of the proposal and improve compliance with the above authorization criteria to support Gilead, although the lead reviewer, as a study sponsor, has full discretion and responsibility for all aspects of study design, implementation, data analysis and data dissemination, including compliance with all laws and proposals applicable to Derive research sponsors.

Gilead`s terms of support must be set out in a written agreement. Gilead does not guarantee that research assistance will support your application. In addition to our SRI fellowship program, we have RFP programs that seek research projects in certain populations and subjects. These programs represent Gilead`s commitment to addressing the unmet needs of patients in therapeutic areas such as COVID-19, cell therapy, HIV and liver disease, and to include innovative methods of testing, diagnosis, and access to and link to care; address supply gaps for certain categories of the population; and understanding the epidemiology of the disease. You can find help with registering in Gilead OPTICS in the PDF guide below. All other questions can be asked of your medical scientist. If you are interested in applying for an RFP program, carefully follow the instructions in the RFP and Letter of Intent (LOI) documents for the program…
